ACE Camp Box
May 3, 2021

Nebraska’s Natural Resources Districts (NRDs) are asking all interested middle schools students to sign up today for the annual Adventure Camp about the Environment (ACE).  If you are interested in having fun and learning about Nebraska Natural Resources and will have completed sixth, seventh and eighth grades in the 2020-2021 school year, this camp is designed for you.

ACE is a four-day adventure camp focusing on natural resources. Individuals from across the state will work with campers to provide hand on experience on aquatics, forestry, range and grassland, wildlife, soils and land.  In addition, campers will experience nature through other activities such as zip line, tanking, tubing, a campfire, and many other adventures. This is a great opportunity for youth to learn about natural resources through hands-on activities with experts who are excited about natural resources.

ACE is hosted at the State 4-H Youth Camp near Halsey, June 6th-9th and is organized by Nebraska Natural Resources Districts and the Nebraska Association of Resources Districts (NARD).The registration fee is $225.00 per camper which includes meals, lodging and activities. The Lewis and Clark NRD offers up to 4 - $150 scholarships to help with the cost for students who are interested in attending the ACE event.  Registration deadline is May 21, 2021.

ACE is sponsored by Nebraska NRDs and the Nebraska Association of Resources Districts (NARD) Foundation who have partnered with several organizations to make the camp possible, including the University of Nebraska, Nebraska Natural Resources Conservation Service, Nebraska National Forest, Nebraska State 4-H Camp, and Nebraska Pheasants Forever.
