LCNRD WELCOMES NEW EMPLOYEES
The Lewis & Clark Natural Resources District (LCNRD) welcomes two new members to the family: Dustin Weinandt and Cole Fiedler, who began responsibilities as Natural Resources Technicians on July 22nd and August 2nd. Dustin and Cole will work on data management and program administration of the LCNRD activities, including water quality sampling, chemigation, well permitting, observation, well monitoring, Bazile GWMA activities, Aowa Creek Watershed structure maintenance, and information and education activities.
Dustin Weinandt grew up on a family farm northeast of Wynot, NE, working with cattle, hogs, and crops. He graduated from Northeast Community College with an associate’s degree in applied science. Recently married, he and his wife, Amanda, live in St. Helena, and he still finds himself working odd and end jobs on the farm.
Cole Fiedler grew up on a farm between Creighton, NE, and Bloomfield, NE, and has been farming his whole life. He previously worked in the independent trucking business, hauling cattle, grain, feed, and fertilizer all over the United States. He lives on his family farm with his wife, Ariel, and one-year-old daughter, Rylie.
Dustin and Cole are both excited to work with producers and learn about natural resources conservation in the Lewis & Clark Natural Resources District.
