Galen Jueden Memorial Scholarship
The Cedar Knox Rural Water Project (CKRWP) Advisory Committee provides a $500 scholarship to a high school senior in memoriam of Galen Jueden. Galen was a dedicated employee who was fully committed to the customers and staff of the CKRWP. He was an invaluable asset to the CKRWP and his dedication is recognized by providing a scholarship to a worthy student looking to achieve a degree in higher education.
The scholarship is available to high school seniors who are the children or grandchildren of a current Cedar Knox Rural Water Project customer or employee. The scholarship must go towards at least one year of study at an accredited post-secondary institution.
The CKRWP Advisory Committee requests applicants complete the enclosed application and include a short essay (500 words or less) which reflects, their relationship to a rural water customer or employee, how their chosen field of education and their career goals would develop the characteristics of dedication and commitment to serve their community and achieve their life goals. It was these attributes that made Galen such a positive influence on his family, community, and work. Applicants must also complete an application form 2024 Galen Jueden Memorial Scholarship Application.
Applications may also be judged based on the following criteria:
- How and where the applicant plans to use the scholarship
- Individual initiative
- Community involvement
- Financial need
The application deadline is March 4, 2024.
The scholarship will be awarded at graduation.
