Patefield – Green Scholarship

The Lewis & Clark Natural Resources District provides 2 - $1,000 scholarships to outstanding high school seniors who reside within the LCNRD boundary. The Patefield -Green Scholarship is available to students who intend to pursue an agricultural-related career and plan to return to the area and help local communities to conserve and protect our natural resources. The scholarship must go towards at least one year of study in an agriculture-related field at a trade school, college, or university.

Applicants are required to complete an application form  2024 Patefield Green Application and submit a summary of their future goals, as well as current and/or past activities that pertain to agriculture and/or natural resources.  The summary should also include personal and/or group achievements of the applicant in areas such as 4-H, FFA, National Honor Society, Class Officer or any church or civic organization. 

Applications will be judged based on the following criteria:

  1. How and where the education will be used
  2. Natural resources awareness and preservation
  3. Individual initiative
  4. Community involvement
  5. Pursuit of agriculturally related career
  6. Intent to return to Northeast Nebraska following completion of education.

Applications will be reviewed and recipients selected by the LCNRD Board of Directors at the April Board meeting.
