LOCAL POSTER WINNER MOVES ON TO THE NATIONAL CONTEST

“Healthy Soils, Healthy Life” was the topic of the 2022 National Conservation Association District (NACD) Poster Contest and Stewardship Week. Students from around the district submitted their posters depicting earthworms, tractors, roots, flowers, farms, and so much more to their local NRD for judging. Local contest winners were sent to the state level, where they were judged by Nebraska’s Association of Natural Resources Board of Directors. State-level winners move on to the national contest, where they will be judged in February by NACD.
One local artist won at the state level and moved on to the national contest. Kiersten Hans of Wynot Public Schools won the 4th - 6th grade division. Kiersten Hans is an artist that has a gift for illustrating natural resources.
Thank you for representing the Lewis & Clark Natural Resource District, and GOOD LUCK at the NACD national contest in February!
